Responsibility for support and execution of the annual Divisional Quality targets established for the plant (concerns & PPM)
Manage plant Quality System to include coordination and execution of the Concern Management Process (inc. lead responsibility for complex problem solving where necessary)
Train and develop Quality Engineers to ensure a culture of Continuous Improvement (C.I.) within the plant Quality Department
Develops and implements new site-specific Level III & Level IV procedures to continuously improve plant QOS
Responsible for implementation of necessary resource & training within the plant QA area to support plant QOS, Manufacturing Engineering and Customers
Provides technical assistance & support to the Customer Service Managers (CSM)
Provides technical assistance & support to Advanced Quality & Program Launch Managers for Stage 'C' new programs
Maintains Customer satisfaction through specific support visits by CSM's & Quality Engineers (as required) to assist with quality concerns as well as proactive CSM visits to maintain and improve Customer relationships with the company
Ensures establishment of and compliance to Procedure Maintenance & plant Quality Operating System (QOS)
Maintains Customer satisfaction with company Quality through regular auditing of plant activities & execution of identified Continuous Improvement (C.I.) projects
Leads plant Management Review process to identify improvements and monitor progress of C.I. activities
Confers with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to assist with resolution of any internal or external quality concerns (inc. scrap, suspect material, non-conforming material requiring deviation, etc.)
Coordinate and lead periodic training sessions to keep personnel updated on current & new procedures, methods, tools, use of equipment and other quality assurance techniques
Ensures the maintenance, updating & compliance to specific requirements necessary to support the company business model (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 14000, Customer-specific requirements, etc.)
Functions as part of the Plant Leadership Team
BS Degree or higher in Engineering
10 years of Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing environment
